RIK PALIERI - Celebrating 50 years of living the life of a world touring multi-instrumentalist musician, singer/songwriter, television producer and author. He sings and performs both original and traditional songs on a variety of folk instruments, including the banjo, 6 & 12 string guitars, mouth bow, Native American flute and a collection of rare Polish bagpipes. He has performed at many world known venues, such as; the Lincoln Center Out of Doors (with The Hudson River Sloop Singers), the Kennedy Center, Nashville's Country Music Hall Of Fame, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Vancouver Folk Festival, the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cafe Lena, the Hudson River Revival, the Bitter End, the legendary Blue Bird Café and many more. He is a world traveler, having appeared at festivals, clubs and radio shows in Australia, Argentina, England, Poland, France, Spain, Germany, Scotland, Israel, Turkey, Mexico, Canada and in every state in the USA.

When Rik was a teenager, he met and befriended Pete Seeger who mentored Rik for many years. They remained friends for the rest of Pete Seeger’s long life. We will be celebrating Rik’s 50th year of performing and honoring Pete Seeger with stories and songs. As the Seeger Family was so famous for collecting interviews and songs, Rik carries on that tradition in shows such as Songwriter’s Notebook, Folk Talk, and various Podcasts. You can search Rick Palieri in the Library of Congress or Google search and see a plethora of listings of his works, interviews, and shows.

Rik will be traveling to this Florida tour with his duo partner, Rik Nesler ~ the two combined are "The Rix" with personal mentors like Pete Seeger and U Utah Phillips, the RIX can’t help but create an atmosphere of not only fun but also tap into a rare glimpse of a part of American folklore that is slowly disappearing. Among the many programs they have presented, they have developed one of interest in particular: performing a sing a long tribute to Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, featuring old folk songs, sea shanties, sod buster ballads, labor and contemporary songs that are all a pure joy to both listen to and sing along with. These travelers have both recorded and performed with Pete Seeger.

We’ll also have a couple of long-neck banjos or bring your own!

PAUL RANNEY ~ is an award-winning autoharp player and very knowledgable on all things autoharp! His classes will be for all levels of players. Beginners through advanced players.
Beginners: For those of you who have never played an autoharp at all, to those of you who have used it to back up singing with no melody playing:We will play together, for playing is one way that we all have fun as musicians or children, and the

best way to have fun is to play!It is very easy to make musical sounds with the autoharp with no experience. By the end of the class, we will learn how to be making music with the autoharp. There will be a number of adult and child-sized autoharps ready for any without their own – both left and right-handed styles. If you bring a flat pick or have finger and thumb picks of your own – bring them as well … otherwise there we have plenty you can use! For Moderate and Advanced Players: We'll have fun learning a few tricks to add to your expertise so that you are not only tolerated at song and jam circles, but welcomed, as they  recognize you play well with others! You may even be asked to demonstrate what you know as well!
